Film Training Manitoba and Womxn’s Film & Video Network Partner for Femtoba Film Fest 2022

Manitoba’s workforce development and training organization Film Training Manitoba (FTM) and the Womxn’s Film & Video Network (WFVN), which promotes women, non-binary, and trans men in film and video are partnering to conduct a joint zoom panel on film industry jobs and careers during this year’s FemToba Film Fest 2022.

This special panel will be held on May 31, 2022, at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will be co-moderated by FTM’s Workforce Development and Operations Manager Allison Bile and WFVN’s Sara Bulloch

The panel will feature panelists Shelly Anthis (Member of DGC-MDC and IATSE 856), Alisha Talbot (member of IATSE 856), and Khali Wenaus (Member of IATSE 856) and will be focused on jobs and careers in Manitoba’s film industry.

“FTM has great connections to film professionals so this partnership and panel is an awesome way to share different ways people have gotten involved in the local film industry and their experiences,” said Sara Bulloch.

In addition to this partnership with WFVN, FTM has also launched Canada’s first Summit for Women in Film Trades (SWIFT) on June 10, 11, 12, 2022 held at RRC Polytech’s new Innovation Centre.

“FTM has been developing a wide collection of industry partnerships to attract underrepresented Manitobans to jobs and careers. FTM appreciates this excellent opportunity to work with Sara Bulloch and WFVN to support recruitment for Manitoba’s film industry,” said Allison Bile.
