Mental Health Commission of Canada Offering Mental Health First Aid Training

Caring for mental health is crucial, and recognizing signs of a mental health crisis in yourself or others is vital. Film Training Manitoba encourages workplaces to proactively address mental health and potential emergencies relating to it.

To support you and your team, we are providing links to mental health training courses. These courses are designed to demystify and remove stigma about mental health and increase understanding around it.

You can register for a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course with Opening Minds. Their course has three modules:

  • Module 1: Self-Directed (2 Hours): An introductory module that lays the foundation of MHFA actions.
  • Module 2: Live Classroom (3.5 hours): Focuses on applying MHFA actions in scenarios of declining mental well-being and adapting conversations for diverse groups.
  • Module 3: Live Classroom (3.5 hours): Enhances skills in crisis management and highlights the importance of self-care.

You can also become a certified MHFA First Aid Facilitator by registering for Opening Mind’s training. You can read more about the course and see a detailed overview and register by clicking the button below.
