New Senior Projects Manager on Board at Film Training Manitoba

Film Training Manitoba (FTM) is pleased to announce that the organization has hired Fawnda Neckoway as the new Senior Projects Manager.

Neckoway is an Ithinew (cree) filmmaker from the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, residing in Winnipeg and she is a graduate of the Red River College Polytechnic’s Digital Film and Media Production. She is the founder of Nikâwiy Productions and has a background as a Writer, Director, Casting Director and Actor.

“Our team at FTM is delighted to have hired this exceptional film professional in this important new position. Fawnda is the ideal Manitoban to expand special projects and representation within our industry to support workforce development in the film sector.” Said FTM’s Managing Director Adam Smoluk.

In Neckoway’s new position, she will be managing the film division of Manitoba’s ground-breaking new EmpowHer Program which is a joint Manitoba Sector Council initiative held in partnership with the Manitoba Construction Sector Council and Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Manitoba (CME).
