FTM Industry Workforce Development Survey 2021

Thank you for all of the positive responses and information Film Training Manitoba received on FTM’s fall survey 2021. 

As a member of the Manitoba Sector council program, FTM conducts workforce development and skills development for MB’s film industry. FTM uses human resource metrics such as surveys, participant evaluations, and industry consultation to program training for Manitoba’s film industry.

In the latest survey which was completed in mid-November 2021, the respondents ranked the following areas of the film industry as the top priorities for training.

  • Post-production
  • Assistant Directing
  • Screenwriting
  • Development, finance, and research
  • Taxes and budgeting

FTM will be providing a combination of training outputs in these areas in 2021-2022 so please follow our newsletter, website and social media.


FTM is a non-for-profit charity of the Province of Manitoba’s sector council program through the Department of Economic Development and Jobs. FTM builds a highly skilled and adaptable film industry workforce to support the activities of Manitoba production companies. FTM collaborates with members of the film and television industry to identify the training needs within the community.
