FTM & Manitoba Construction Sector Council Partner for the Spotlight on Business Session with Manitoba Start

Film Training Manitoba (FTM) and Manitoba Construction Sector Council (MCSC) are partnering to conduct an exclusive job coaching session for new Canadians in July 2021. The Spotlight on Business session is in partnership with Manitoba Start

This past May, FTM and MCSC collaborated on a sold-out job coaching session and as a result Manitoba Start commissioned the two organizations to conduct an additional session for their participants. Manitoba Start connects businesses to world-class workforce and is the leading provider of career services for newcomers to the province.

The organization addresses employers’ recruitment needs by matching the unique skill sets of qualified, job-ready newcomers with employers’ specific job requirements.

“We thank Manitoba Start for this exciting invitation. FTM and MSCS are both members of the province of Manitoba’s excellent Sector Council Program. This program allows us to effectively pool resources to connect Manitobans with jobs and careers,” said FTM’s Adam Smoluk. “Manitoba’s film industry is a major economic success story and we have world-class technicians, administrative workers, performers, and content creators.”

The complementary session is taking place on Wed, Jul 14, 2021 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CDT. To register email john@filmtraining.mb.ca

FTM is a member of the Province of Manitoba’s sector council program through the Department of Economic Development and Training. FTM builds a highly skilled and adaptable film industry workforce to support the activities of Manitoba production companies. FTM collaborates with members of the film and television industry to identify the training needs within the community.
