In preparation for a number upcoming productions, Film Training Manitoba (FTM) and Manitoba based production company Frantic Films delivered an afternoon training partnership on COVID-19 best practices during production.
Veteran Manitoba Production Manager and Producer Ellen Rutter (Member of DGC-MB) instructed the training and imparted important best practices to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
“FTM wishes to thank the team at Frantic Films for proactively working to promote the safety and wellness of their personnel. FTM will continue to deliver and work with Manitoba companies like Frantic Films to support the province’s booming film and television industry,” said FTM’s Managing Director Adam Smoluk.
Since early July, FTM has delivered fifteen COVID-19 online training courses with over five hundred participants in attendance. This critical training was designed to aid Manitoba companies and workers as film and television projects move into production.
FTM a member of the sector council program funded by the Province of Manitoba’s Economic Development and Training. FTM’s goal is to develop a highly skilled and adaptable workforce to support the activities of Manitoba production companies. FTM collaborates with members of the film and television industry to identify the training needs within the community. With this information FTM offers practical, skill-based training that is targeted where labour gaps occur.
