Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indigenous Filmmakers Association and FTM developed a new training partnership The One-on-one Screenwriting Accelerator 2020. This training partnership was a series of distance education sessions held for indigenous Manitoba based screenwriters in June 2020.
“FTM wanted to thank Roger Boyer and Justina Neepin from the Indigenous Filmmakers Association (IFA) for partnering with FTM to develop and deliver this excellent partnership. Our two organizations are developing additional partnerships and FTM really appreciates all of the hard work of the IFA team,” said FTM’s Managing Director Adam Smoluk.
During this accelerator, the selected participants received training with a senior industry screenwriter to develop their writing skills for media productions.
