Starting February 2020, FTM will be featured on advertisements on Winnipeg Transit buses traveling around the city. FTM’s ACTION! Campaign is designed to attract more workers to Manitoba’s burgeoning film and television industry. “As a unique human resources, training and workforce development organization for Manitoba’s film and television industry, we provide hands-on skills development to grow our industry and we really appreciated working with Winnipeg Transit on this important new initiative to promote our industry.” said FTM’s Managing Director Adam Smoluk. Since April 1, 2019 FTM has held 31 specialty in-class courses with over a dozen different industry partners including Willam F. White (Winnipeg), Electric Monk Media, Merit Motion Pictures, Frank Digital, Les Production Midcan, ACTRA MB, Director’s Guild of Canada (MB), the Indigenous Film Summit, ICG 669 and IASTE 856. In the past six months, FTM completed a rebranding of the company’s logo and colours as well as growing the organization’s facebook followers by over 3500 users to become the most liked and followed organization in Manitoba’s film and television industry. FTM also completed  FTM’s 20th Anniversary Presents: 20 For the 20th – Reel Careers Profile Series which profiled Manitoba film and television professionals. In the past six months FTM has been profiled by Playback Magazine, McMaster University, The Winnipeg Free Press, The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, CPHR Manitoba, and Winnipeg’s Westland Foundation. FTM has also launched new partnerships with post-secondary schools, media production unions, and production services companies. FTM has also expanded new partnerships with the Office to Advance Women Apprentices and FTM is hosting a panel at the Women in Trades Conference on February 18th & 19th, 2020.   FTM is a member of the Province of Manitoba’s Sector Council program within the the department of Economic Development and Training.
