[Part of the 2016 MANITOBA FILM EXPO Series]

This afternoon workshop will be an interactive learning session where the instructor will lead the participants through a unique behind-the-scenes lecture and overview of developing, planning and undertaking Virtual Reality (VR) media productions.

Using video clips, examples, concepts, and showcasing 360° VR camera systems – the instructor will impart their knowledge about the business elements, project workflow, and current trends in VR. Participants will receive the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

The instructor will share knowledge about business development, project management, and career advancement. In addition, the participants will receive valuable information on the current marketplace considerations.

The Instructor

DOUG DARLING is the executive producer and founder of Tripwire Media Group, a video and animation production house in Winnipeg that started in 2009.

Doug has grown Tripwire into a successful production house, boasting a team of six dedicated full-time staff. While still telling the stories of many local Manitoba companies (such as Tourism Winnipeg, Winnipeg Airports Authority and National Leasing), Tripwire has expanded their reach across the continent, working with big name clients, including Scotiabank, Tobasco, Target, and Mark’s.

Doug has been working in 360 video for the last year, and is happy to partner with Lesley Klassen, of The Campfire Union, for this seminar, to show where 360 is headed in the video and VR world.
