DGC Standard Agreement 101 with Victoria Harding

About the workshop 

This course will familiarize Members with the 2019-2021 DGC/CMPA Standard Agreement and its various schedules, with a particular focus on the Manitoba Schedule.  The Manitoba Schedule contains most of the practical provisions for work in Manitoba, specifically regarding work week structure, payroll premiums, holidays, benefit payments, nearby and distant location provisions, lay-off and termination, screen credits, minimum staffing, New Series incentives and pay day. There will also be a brief overview of the general provisions of the Core Schedule, which applies to all five of the District Councils under the Standard Agreement.

 

 

 

 

About the instructor  

Victoria Harding has been a respected member of Toronto’s film and television community since 1990, when at the age of 26; she began working as a Location Manager. In 2001, she moved into Production Management, working on a variety of features, TV movies and series for both US studios and Canadian producers.

Always an active Member of the DGC, Victoria was elected to the DGC Ontario Executive Board as Membership and Training Chair in 2003, and continued in that position until 2010. She was invited to join the DGC Ontario staff in 2013, and in the role of
Associate Executive Director, she oversees a production service team of 9 professionals dedicated to the administration and enforcement of the Standard Agreement for all DGC Members working in film and television production in Ontario.
