Winnipeg – Film Training Manitoba is once again accepting applications for our Career Focus Program. As part of FTM’s Work Experience Program, the CFP will provide on-the-job training to new crewmembers. The purpose of this program is to match graduates from a post-secondary institution with production companies and/or film-related businesses such as equipment houses or production facilities.
This program is offered to youth up to the age of 30 (inclusive) and Film Training Manitoba works with production companies to provide participants with a full time, paid internship for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
“FTM is very excited to once again offer this program. The Career Focus program will allow successful applicants the opportunity to work in the industry under the guidance of dedicated trainers and with the support of FTM,” says Neila Benson, FTM’s Executive Director.
FTM works closely with industry partners to identify departments where labour gaps exist and training is needed. Entry to this program is competitive and successful candidates will be selected based on their application, previous experience and an interview with FTM’s Training Coordinator.
All successful applicants will be required to complete FTM’s Set Orientation course before their internship begins. Applications are available for download on FTM’s website, http://www.filmtraining.mb.ca/training/workexp/crewip.php, or can be picked up in person at 100 – 62 Albert Street.
